Sabayon

Sabayon is a light and airy custard-like foam traditionally served with ladyfinger-style cookies and fresh berries. It’s an elegant yet simple dessert that’s definitely worth trying!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 egg yolks
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • cup rum (I use non-alcoholic rum)

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients in a heatproof bowl.
  • Set the bowl over a saucepan of simmering water.
  • Whisk continuously with a whisk or electric mixer until the mixture becomes smooth, frothy, and triples in volume.
  • Divide the sabayon among 4 serving glasses.
  • Serve with ladyfinger cookies or fresh berries.
