Sabayon
Sabayon is a light and airy custard-like foam traditionally served with ladyfinger-style cookies and fresh berries. It’s an elegant yet simple dessert that’s definitely worth trying!
Ingredients
- 4 egg yolks
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup rum (I use non-alcoholic rum)
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a heatproof bowl.
- Set the bowl over a saucepan of simmering water.
- Whisk continuously with a whisk or electric mixer until the mixture becomes smooth, frothy, and triples in volume.
- Divide the sabayon among 4 serving glasses.
- Serve with ladyfinger cookies or fresh berries.
