Mexican Hot Chocolate
Have you ever tried making hot chocolate in a slow cooker? For this Mexican hot chocolate recipe, the slow cooker is perfect for heating the milk and allowing the cinnamon and cloves to infuse, giving the hot chocolate a warm, spiced flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 cups milk
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cloves
- 115 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 3 drops almond extract
- whipped cream, for serving
Instructions
- Pour the milk into the slow cooker along with the cinnamon stick and cloves. Heat the milk with the spices for 1 hour on high.
- Next, add the chocolate and almond extract and stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
- Whisk with an electric mixer until the hot chocolate becomes frothy.
- Serve with whipped cream and grated chocolate.
