Meatballs, Sweet and Sour Sauce

Here is a really easy (and excellent) recipe that isn’t complicated and doesn’t require many ingredients. It’s a perfect recipe for a weeknight meal!

Servings 4

Ingredients
  

  • 700 g ground beef
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped

Sweet and sour sauce

  • 2 tbsp  cornstarch
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • cup white vinegar
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions
 

  • Shape the ground beef into 24 meatballs.
  • For the sweet and sour sauce, combine all the ingredients together and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat the olive oil and sauté the garlic for about one minute.
  • Add the meatballs to the pan and brown them on all sides. Add the bell peppers and sauté for 1–2 minutes.
  • Stir in all the ingredients for the sweet and sour sauce and cook until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve hot with rice.
