Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Take a small cocktail sausage and wrap it with a piece of bacon, securing it with a toothpick.
Tip: Cut each bacon slice into about 3 pieces. Wrap the sausage with bacon, then trim any excess bacon.
Secure the bacon in place with a toothpick.
Brush the cocktail sausages with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup using a silicone brush.
Tip: Make sure to coat both sides of the sausages with maple syrup.
Bake for 22 minutes.
Halfway through cooking, take the sausages out and brush them again with maple syrup on both sides. Turn them over before returning them to the oven to ensure even cooking.
Bake for another 23 minutes (for a total of 45 minutes).
Serve immediately.
