Warm the water in the microwave for 35 seconds. Add the sugar and yeast. The yeast will form a small foam on top of the water.
In a bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the water with the yeast.
Knead the dough, and once the mixture becomes smooth, add the oil and continue kneading.
Flour your work surface and rolling pin.
Take a small portion of dough (about 3 tablespoons) and roll it out with the rolling pin until it’s about 3 mm thick. Repeat until all the dough is used.
Tip: Don’t roll the dough too thin. If it’s too thin, it will become rubbery after cooking, and we want to avoid that.
In a skillet, drizzle a bit of olive oil and brush it evenly using a silicone brush.
Cook the naan on both sides until golden spots appear. During cooking, air bubbles will form.
Cook each naan one at a time this way.
After cooking, mix the melted butter with the chopped cilantro.
Brush each naan with the butter mixture using a silicone brush.
Serve hot!
