Sucre à la crème is a classic dessert in Quebec. It’s easy to make, but it can sometimes turn grainy if not prepared properly.My trick? The microwave. It helps achieve a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture every time!
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup 35% cream
Instructions
- Grease an 8 × 8 inch pan with butter.
- In a bowl, mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cream.
- Cook in the microwave for 10 minutes, stirring twice during the cooking time.
- Remove from the microwave and let rest for 5 minutes.
- Using an electric mixer, beat the mixture for 5 minutes.
- Place the Québec fudge cream in the refrigerator for 1 hour to allow it to set.
